For years, member companies have been committed to a CSR process that shares common values of corporate social responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A framework defined by the European Commission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Corporate social responsibility (CSR), also known as corporate social accountability, is defined by the European Commission as the responsibility of companies for their impact on society. In other words, CSR refers to the contribution companies make to sustainable development issues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The international standard ISO 26000 defines the scope of CSR around seven core themes:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Organizational governance<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Human rights<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Labor practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Fair operating practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Consumer issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Communities and local development<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    The PACTE law of 2019<\/a><\/strong> amended the Civil Code, allowing companies to incorporate these key principles into their corporate purpose.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    The companies in CLUB AFIROC have chosen to implement various CSR initiatives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Depending on the type of company (fit-out contractors, workshops, logistics firms), they have focused on different measures. Several CLUB AFIROC companies have appointed CSR managers and\/or employee collectives to collaboratively select areas for improvement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
