The company
From its creation, at the end of the 1970s, SOTOMOB, based in Aubigny-sur-Nère in France, specializes in the manufacture of furniture, fittings and furnishing elements and POS advertising with an emphasis on professionals, such as retail brands, fitters, offices, libraries, receptions or communities. Thanks to its 5,000-m2 site, the subcontracting factoryoffers customers layouts in solid softwood (spruce), medium density fiberboard or particle board (fine wood veneers, melamine or laminates).
SOTOMOB also offers customers a storage service buffer on a 2,000-m2 surface and complete delivery management.
Know-how
From mass production all the wayup to unit parts, SOTOMOB places its factory and design office at the service of professional clients, such as fitters, interior architects, designers, carpentry companies, office or store designers, retail brands and local authorities.
SOTOMOB has a fleet of around 20 machines for the machining, an assembly workshop, a finishing workshop of 900 m² and an area dedicated to logistics (storage, packaging, order preparation, shipping).
The company offers solutions from the study phase, thanks to its in-house design office, up to the shipping phase, passing through the cutting, plating, machining, finishing (varnish and tint workshop) and assembly/pre-assembly operations in the workshop.
To meet the additional demands of its customers, the teams take charge of the integration of shop windows, a locksmith and lighting to deliver finished products.
The design office is made up of experienced woodworking professionals who use 3D modeling software (Topsolid) for furniture to create views with realistic renderings to help validate project plans. The design office technicians produce the manufacturing plans which are then used to launch production.
SOTOMOB carries out complex machining operations thanks to three machining centers: Edge banding – Multi-material assembly, mounting and integration (metal, glass, display cases, mirrors, hardware, lighting and electrical systems) – Finishing workshop with a wide choice of varnish types (matte/glossy or frosted finishes or rubber appearance, applied to all surfaces (lacquered, raw or fine woods)). The finishing workshop works with a color chart but is able to match any type of sample: melamine, lacquer, ink or any other material.

SOTOMOB obtained the Pro A quality label from the Chambre Française de l’Agencement (CFA), a professional organization affiliated with the French Building Federation (FFB).

As an industrial carpenter, SOTOMOB has a varied clientele including retail brands, designers, interior designers, joinery, office furniture manufacturers, office space designers, POS display specialists and furniture brands. It also accommodates requests from individuals (bookcases, etc.).
The products made to order are just as diverse, ranging from reception counters, bars, consoles, storage furniture and desks to work surfaces, bookcases, heavy POS displays (store decor), and so on.
