Located in Amiens, GEORGES LABO has established itself as a major player in the controlled environments market. It offers its highly technical expertise in clean room design for the healthcare, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, and has recently expanded into gigafactories.

The company

Originally founded by Camille Georges in 1935, the GEORGES company was based in Gennevilliers and specialized in metalworking. It experienced significant growth and moved in 1961 to the industrial zone of Amiens under the name of Cloisons Georges.

Acquired in 1975, the company diversified into several sectors, and the year 1982 marked a strategic turning point with the creation of its first white rooms. The specialized department became independent under the name of GEORGES LABO, asserting its expertise in this highly technical field. Continuing its development, GEORGES LABO opened a branch in 2010 in the Rhône-Alpes region, located in Lyon, to strengthen its national presence.

Know-how

As one of the last design offices with a French manufacturer in the sector, GEORGES LABO enjoys a high degree of production flexibility. This allows it to design products that do not yet exist on the market, in direct response to specific client needs.
French and local manufacturing of all components ensures full control over quality, deadlines and customization.

This excellence is supported by a structured ecosystem:

  • A team of experienced project managers to guide each project with diligence and expertise.
  • An in-house design office producing 2D and 3D plans for a clear and precise visualization of future installations.
  • A partner factory covering 11,000 m² with 500 m² of storage space per project, ensuring responsiveness and optimized logistics.
  • And finally, specialized installation teams that bring projects to life on site, complying with all technical and regulatory requirements.

With GEORGES LABO, each project becomes a tailor-made, high-performance, scalable and sustainable solution with a single motto: “Your custom solution is our standard.”

Key strengths

  • A key player in the controlled environments market (laboratories, hospitals, gigafactories, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries)
  • Design and fitting of clean rooms or dry rooms
  • Full control of the chain, from design to installation, ensuring adherence to commitments (scheduling, safety)
  • In-house R&D to stay at the cutting edge of technology
  • Modularity of products and tailor-made adaptability based on client requirements

In terms of CSR, GEORGES LABO has received the silver medal from ECOVADIS, an international benchmark for resilient and sustainable supply chains.

Clients and products

Today, GEORGES LABO operates not only in the pharmaceutical and scientific fields but also supports stakeholders in the cosmetics industry by designing spaces that meet strict hygiene, high safety and air quality standards.

This is why GEORGES LABO refuses to sell its solutions to third-party installers, choosing instead to maintain full control over the entire process for optimal results.

The hospital sector also benefits from GEORGES LABO’s expertise, particularly through the creation of small cytotoxic drug manufacturing units, which hospitals and clinics are increasingly adopting to provide patients with specific treatments.

More recently, the company has partnered with energy giants in the development of gigafactories (large-scale battery manufacturing plants) and has also entered the aerospace sector – another testament to GEORGES LABO’s ability to adapt to tomorrow’s technological challenges.

Thanks to its personalized approach and recognized technical expertise, GEORGES LABO offers a comprehensive range of services, from design to implementation of highly technical spaces, serving the most demanding and advanced industries.

The partition for a clean room or an anhydrous room is made up of components manufactured entirely in the company’s factory, enabling rapid on-site installation. The same requirements apply to clean room ceiling elements. These ceilings are designed to be durable and airtight, while integrating air-conditioning, lighting and other systems. To facilitate maintenance, they can also be made walkable, in which case they are known as walkable ceilings.

Fittings include partitions, ceilings, doors and accessories (such as lighting fixtures), which must meet geometric and ergonomic standards. GEORGES LABO also integrates performance criteria tailored to specific needs such as airtightness, cleanability, decontamination, thermal or acoustic insulation, and fire resistance.

One of the company’s key strengths lies in the modularity of its products, offering turnkey, customized solutions. In a world where projects constantly evolve, this adaptability is essential. That’s why GEORGES LABO is currently creating an in-house R&D laboratory to stay at the forefront of technology.
